Kristen and Ford: Mixed metals Autumn wedding at First Presbyterian and the Huguenot Loft

Kristen got married on a gorgeous November day. She chose a ballgown, champagne bridesmaids dresses, and mixed metals for her wedding day look.

Angela Cox captured all the loveliness of the autumn wedding.

The reception was at the Huguenot loft. B & R Events designed the floor plan to include long and round tables for the dinner catered by Smoke on the Water.

The linens, copper paisley and ivory crinkle, and silver chivari chairs from Professional Party Rentals complemented the fall florals, brass candlesticks, and steel lanterns.

Dahlia A Florist did a great job of utilizing fall leaves and flowers in different vases and in the brass candlesticks. We lined the windows with candles, added soft white uplighting, and the poles were wrapped in twinkle lights for added ambience.
Couture Cakes created the very chic Ombré cake for the wedding.

For something a little different, we hung vintage chandeliers over the dance floor. DJ Jamie Blair kept the dance floor full after dinner!

Thank you for letting us share!  It was such a gorgeous event!

Taylor and Tavarus : A New Years celebration wedding

Taylor and Tavarus chose to marry on New Year's Eve. Tavarus shared with us that he always had a party for the holiday, so why would this be different.

They chose the Huguenot Loft at the Peace Center in downtown Greenville for their wedding and reception. Seasons Photography captured the memories for the two sweethearts.

Renee Burroughs Floral was brilliant in executing a different design. She used very little floral, mainly for the bride's bouquet. The bridesmaids carried tissue paper puffs, the centerpieces were a combination of table top chandeliers and oversized faux lilies. Truly unique!

Pro's Only Entertainment provided the ceremony and reception music while Tavarus provided New Year's Eve hats and props for the guests.

Couture Cakes of Greenville created the cake with a cascading petal look. With a later ceremony and a New Year's count down, Good Life Catering created a light appetizer menu.

Thanks again, Tavarus and Taylor, for letting us be a part of your wedding day!

A different look and blast from the past

We hate to admit it.

Don't judge us.

This blog is CRAZY neglected.

Like, 2 1/2 years neglected.

shameful

But guess what!  We are going to try to fix that!

So, here are two things you may notice-

Some of these weddings happened a while ago. We have quite the backlog of weddings and events that need to go on the blog. We will try to mix up new and old, but we don't want to exclude anyone.

The format is going to look different. This is because I will be blogging from my iPad due to photo accessibility. And my iPad is super portable, so I can update almost anywhere.

Thanks!  And enjoy!

Sally and Travis : Simple and Literary at Pretty Place and the Wyche Pavilion

Sally and Travis are such a fun and funny couple. They hired B & R Events for day of coordination of their October wedding, and we are so happy that they did!

With a gorgeous ceremony backdrop and a great looking (and tall!) couple, photographer Jana Candler must have been in heaven!
The bagpiper's music rang throughout the mountain.

Sally chose a simple and non-floral centerpiece that she made herself. She made small trees with manzanita branches and hung ornaments she created using pages from books.
The bouquets were created by Memories by McMillian and were simple whites, ivories, and greens.

The weather was particularly chilly that evening, but a clear tent in the Wyche Pavilion helped keep Sally and Travis's guests warm.

Tasty cupcakes from Strossners for dessert.

A nod to Doctor Who for the cake topper.

Travis and Sally chose one of the best bands we have ever worked with- Nitrograss!  They kept the dance floor full and had such a great sound.

Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your big day, Sally and Travis!
