Mandy and Grant: Lillies and Rock at the Reserve at Keowee

Mandy and Grant had a gorgeous lakeside wedding and reception at the Reserve at Keowee. Mandy and Grant and the majority of their guests are from Georgia, and the Reserve had the views and resort feel that they were looking for.
Mandy chose a palate of pale and hot pink with black and white accents. Their flower from Dahlia included a stunning combination of pale pink and hot pink hydrangea and bright pink stargazer lilies. When Mandy was stuck on what to give her guests as favors, B&R suggested she give stargazer lily bulbs. It was such an appropriately springy favor!
After a gorgeous ceremony in the Reserve's Founder's Hall, the chapel on property, the bridal party and guests moved to the Great Lawn. Orange Krush started the evening playing jazz and moved on to a full on dance party. They truly rocked the house, and were playing selections from the Temptations, Etta James, the Black Eyed Peas, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Their stunning cake, with its simple black and white elegance, was from Couture Cakes. Cox Photography sent Angela, who was very flexible and talented. The night ended with a sparkler send off and Mandy and Grant getting away on a decked out golf cart to their cottage.
Here is to the sweet and awesome couple! Congratulations!

Laura and Matt: Lavender and Heather at the Table Rock Lodge

Laura and Matt were planning on having an outdoor mountain ceremony at the Table Rock Lodge, but mother nature had other plans. B&R Events had set up the ceremony site outdoors on April 23rd, and by noon April 24th, I was calling Laura to tell that the doppler looked down right SCARY. After Laura approved the move, the ceremony was moved by B&R Events and took place in front of the gorgeous fireplace at the lodge. Thank god for wedding planners!
Linda Thompson with Designer Concepts created lovely bouquets to go with Laura's natural theme. She even included rosemary, so the bouquets were not only beautiful, but fragrant as well. Chris Cash and Joe Wehunt played the guitar and keyboard, so the wedding party and bride were able to walk down the aisle to Elvis's "Love Me Tender". Fantastic.
Photography J&J were manning the photo booth and while the guests dined on a hearty pasta dinner by Chelsea's Catering. Jamie Blair rocked it out the entire night and was fantastic at keeping the crowd moving.Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple chose several cakes from the infamous Brick Street Cafe. At the end of the evening the couple got away in Matt's raised SUV and their guests showered them with dried lavender.
Congratulations Laura and Matt! The day was gorgeous!
