Jessica and Jadison: Navy and Polka Dots at Saffrons

100 year old church: check!
100 year old building for the reception: check!
Classic blended with fun: check!

Congratulations Jessica and Jadison!
Jessica had a vision for her wedding day, and knew right away that she was going to need assistance. She also knew that she had to stay on budget. Jessica was a fun bride, but also a very picky bride. So, we scouted 9 different reception locations, 6 different florists, and 3 different cake bakers to make sure that they suited the couple. And Holy Trinity Anglican Church and Saffron's Wrought Iron Hall suited them just fine!
Jessica chose deep navy blue, bright fuchsia, and pure white as her wedding colors. The Flower Peddler used pink peonies and white hydrangeas for her blooms and Holly Cakesused white butter cream icing coated in sparkle sugar with tiny white and fuchsia blossoms crawling up the side of the cake with navy centers.
We made 7 foot navy table runners with satin, sewed pink polka dotted pocket squares for the groomsmen and the groom (which matched the pink polka dotted ribbon on the bridesmaids bouquets), and created (and printed) both the seating chart and the reception signs. All of this on top of our usual list of assignments!
DJ Rodney Phillips kept the music flowing and Jadison's home of Brazil was reflected with the signature drink, Caipirinha. Jeff Hall took amazing shots all day including the bridal party at Jessica's Alma mater, Furman, and the Chi Omegas singing "Dancing Queen".
Jessica and Jadison's guests enjoyed a seated dinner at Saffron's and then Jessica utilized part of her catering package in a unique way. Jessica and Jadison had a dessert bar for their guests, equipped with several small desserts for guests to choose from and left over (wrapped) wedding cake. Each guest left with a pink bakery box stamped "thank you" with navy ink.
Thank you Jessica and Jadison for choosing B&R Events to plan you with your big day!

Give Back

You might notice in the catering contract for your wedding that there is a clause that states you may not ask for boxes of your leftover food. I used to be in catering, so this makes sense to me. You do not have proper refrigeration transporting the food, and if you get the slightest stomach ache, the catering facility is the one to be held responsible.

But who wants food to go to waste?

We certainly do not, so why not call Loaves and Fishes?

Loaves and Fishes is Greenville's only food rescue program. They are happy to arrange pick up of any perishable and prepared food to feed the hungry. This a safe a green way to give back to the community as well.

Food donors are protected from liability and Loaves and Fishes has three refrigerated trucks to pick up any and all donations.

Brides can directly contact opscoord@loavesandfishesgreenville.org
B&R Events hopes that some of our brides choose this as an option. Thanks!
